The following options for using AI in teaching and learning:
- A personal tutor gives instant feedback on completed exercises and explains what is unclear.
- A group work coach will break down large projects into subtasks and suggest how best to distribute them and in what sequence to accomplish them.
- The study buddy will briefly review the lengthy material with the student and discuss any conclusions and questions about the topic (including “dumb” questions that are embarrassing to ask the teacher).
- The Exploratorium will collect and present data on any topic for study.
AI pedagogy implies that the educator considers the limitations and risks associated with the technology and teaches how to use it correctly.
The introduction of AI tools means changes in both the content and formats of classes. I’ll have to take the time to learn how to work with neural networks and verify the information I get from them. And also to establish rules for the use of AI in control and written work and to develop tasks in which it will be useless.
