On the Procedure for Conducting Competitions for the International Prize
International Association of Experts and Leaders of Education (IAELE)
Chapter I
GENERAL PROVISIONS
Article 1: General Provisions
1.1. These Regulations define the procedure for organizing and conducting the Competition for the International Awards of the International Association of Experts and Leaders of Education (IAELE) to recognize best practices, innovative developments, and outstanding achievements in education.
1.2 The IAELE International Awards aim to encourage innovation, outstanding developments, and projects to integrate advanced educational technologies and improve the quality of International Education Systems.
1.3. Participants of the Contest can be individuals and organizations of all forms of ownership, representatives of various fields of activity, including scientific and social spheres, political segments, business communities, participants of youth movements, etc. The Contest is open to individuals and organizations of all forms of ownership.
1.4. The costs of preparing and holding events related to the awarding and conferring the Prizes shall be financed by the founders, sponsors, and other legitimate sources.
1.5. The terms and conditions of the Competition are determined directly by the Organizer.
1.6. The country, place, and dates of the Competition stages are determined by the Organizer and announced in advance on the official website of the International Association (IAELE) and by sending information to the Participants.
Chapter II
PURPOSE AND PROCEDURE OF INTERNATIONAL PRIZE COMPETITIONS
Article 2: Purpose of Competitions
2.1. To identify in the course of step-by-step selection and broad discussion outstanding International professionals and organizations, authors of non-standard solutions and achievements that have significantly impacted the development of education and educational technologies in various nominations and to ensure their professional and public recognition.
2.2. Promote international best practices and innovative solutions to improve the quality of education and the sustainability of educational ecosystems.
2.3 Motivating international education professionals and organizations to implement sustainable and innovative solutions in their professional activities.
Article 3: Procedure for Holding Tenders
The main stages of the conduct:
3.1 Announcement of the International Prize Competition.
3.2 Submission of applications and necessary documents by the participants.
3.3. Formation of the List of Applicants
3.4. Evaluation of applications by the Competition Commission (jury).
3.5. Determination of Nominees
3.6. Presentation of final projects and secret ballot of the Competition Commission (Jury) to determine the Laureates in the nominations presented;
3.7. Summarizing the results of voting;
3.8. The solemn ceremony of awarding the winners of the International Prize.
Article 4: Concepts of Tender Procedures
4.1. The International Association of Experts and Leaders of Education (IAELE) (from now on referred to as the Organizer) is directly the Initiator of the projects and the organizer of the Competitions.
4.2 Competition Organizer:
4.2.1. Approves the Regulations on the Competition, which defines the procedure for holding the Competition, the list of nominations, the procedure for selecting finalists, the method for forming the Competition Commission (Jury);
4.2.2. Establishes the Competition Commission (jury) from the International Expert Council of the International Association (IAELE) and invited external experts of the relevant profile according to the nominations of the Competition;
4.2.3. Carries out analytical activities on the formation of the information database, conducts “question/answer” activities within the framework of realization of the whole cycle of activities, and ensures joint interaction of all stakeholders;
4.2.4. Completes all necessary actions within the agreed-upon timeframes with the event partners to prepare and conduct the Competition stages.
4.3. Competition Commission (Jury) – a group of individuals authorized to decide on forming the List of Applicants and determining the Prize Winners by voting.
4.4. The purpose of the Competition Commission (Jury) is to collect, evaluate, and distribute the participants’ applications in the Competition nominations, determine the nominees, evaluate the participants’ applications, and determine the Competition winners in each nomination.
4.5. The Prize is a public recognition of the outstanding activity of the Laureates in the educational space of various areas of society.
4.6. The list of Applicants shall consist of at least three candidates in each nomination.
4.7. Nominees – candidates for the Laureates of the Prize selected from among the Applicants based on the results of the jury vote.
4.8. Prize winners – winners of the Contests in the International Prize nominations.
4.9. Authorized user – a user of the official page of the Award on the International Association (IAELE) website https://eduassociation.org/ who has passed the authorization procedure there.
4.10. Audience – Authorized users mentioned together.
Article 5: Procedure for Submitting Applications to the Competition
5.1. Application – a list of documents and information about the Contest Participant required for participation in the Contest regulated by these Regulations.
5.2 The Participant’s submission of an application and participation in the Competition shall mean that the Participant has familiarized himself with and agreed to the terms and conditions of these Regulations.
5.3 To participate in the Competition, Participants submit an electronic application to the organizer on the International Association (IAELE) website: https://eduassociation.org/.
5.4 In the application form, the Participant shall provide accurate, complete, and up-to-date information about himself/herself that is required for participation in the Competition.
5.5 The Participant guarantees completeness, reliability, and legality of the information provided in the application.
5.6 Participants have the right to apply to the competition organizer for explanations on the preparation and execution of applications for participation in the competition’s procedure.
5.7 By submitting an application and participating in the Competition, the Participant:
5.7.1. Agrees that after the results of the Competition are summarized, to promote the initiative ideas or achievements, the Organizer has the right to publish the materials and information (including audio, video, and photo materials) obtained during the Competition on the website https://eduassociation.org/ and in other mass media or provide the data to third parties for the specified purpose.
5.7.2. Guarantees that the product for its nomination and its demonstration during the Contest does not violate the rights and legitimate interests of any third parties;
5.7.3. Obliges to prevent violations of applicable laws, including legislation on mass media, intellectual property, advertising, and others;
5.7.4. Do not post or distribute information and materials that are not related to the Contest, are offensive to other Contest Participants, contain profanity, promote racial, religious, ethnic hatred or enmity, criminal activity, terrorist activity, damage the honor, dignity, and business reputation of other persons, violate the rights and legitimate interests of the Contest Participants or third parties.
5.7.5 Please comply with this clause to avoid exclusion from the Competition.
5.8 If there are any doubts that the Tenderer meets the qualification requirements posted on the information platforms, the Tender Organizer has the right to require the Tenderer to provide documents confirming its compliance with the above requirements. If the Tenderer fails to submit such documents, the Tender Organizer shall have the right to suspend the Tenderer from participation at any stage of the Tender.
5.9. After registration of applications, the Competition Organizer prepares and summarizes materials for consideration of applications by the Competition Commission (jury).
5.10. A Competition participant is subject to dismissal from participation at any stage if they submit false, incomplete, unlawful information or perform illegal actions when submitting an application or demonstrating a project.
Article 6: Personal Data of the Contest Participants
6.1 Definitions related to personal data.
6.1.1 Personal data – any information relating to a directly or indirectly defined or identifiable natural person (subject of personal data).
6.1.2 Processing of personal data – performance of any action or set of actions about personal data, including collection, recording, systematization, accumulation, storage, updating and modification, extraction, use, provision, access, blocking, deletion and destruction – both with and without the use of automated data processing tools.
6.1.3 Operator of personal data processing – the Organizer of the Competition, which carries out personal data processing, as well as determining the purposes of personal data processing, the composition of personal data subject to processing, actions (operations) performed with personal data;
6.1.4 By submitting an Application on the Competition website, the Competition Participant confirms their consent to processing their data.
Article 7: Participants in the Competitions
7.1 The following categories of persons and organizations actively working in the field of education and related fields of activity can be participants of the International Association International Awards (IAELE):
7.1.2 Outstanding International individual professionals, leaders, and specialists in various education and educational technology areas.
7.1.3. International educational and research institutions – universities, research centers, and organizations engaged in training, research, and development of new technologies and approaches in education and safety of organization of learning processes.
7.1.4 International organizations and specialized companies engaged in developing and implementing solutions for educational systems, educational technologies, methods, and practices.
7.1.5 Public and private institutions that support the development of innovative educational technologies and the creation of a legal and regulatory framework for their implementation.
7.1.6 Private entrepreneurs and innovators are developing start-ups, new methods, and tools in the field of education.
7.2 Representatives of the Organizer and members of the Competition Commission (jury) are not allowed to participate in the Competition.
7.3. The Competition is open to applicants who meet the criteria for the nominations published by the Organizer on the official information sites before the Competition.
Article 8: Applicants
8.1. Candidates included in the List of Applicants must meet the qualifying features of the Nominations. A candidate may be registered as a Nominee in only one Nomination.
8.2. Disputable issues between the members of the Competition Commission (Jury), if they arise, shall be resolved by voting, provided that 2/3 of the members of the Competition Commission (Jury), published on the Official Website of the Competition, as of the date of voting, have participated in the voting.
The decision is adopted if most of the Competition Commission (Jury) votes favor it.
8.3. Based on the voting results in each nomination, two Nominees with the highest number of votes (in the nomination) shall be selected.
8.4. In case the Prize Organizer has doubts about the authenticity of the e-mail or other registration data used for authorization to vote (incorrect domain name, automatically generated E-mail, etc.), the Organizer reserves the right to verify the data obtained from the database of the Official Website of the Prize by uploading them before submitting them to the Competition Commission (Jury). The verification shall be carried out selectively using available professional knowledge. Based on the results of the verification, the Organizer shall record the results of the analysis.
9. Determination of the Contest Winners
9.1 The Competition winner in the nominations shall be determined by the Competition Commission (jury) from among the competition’s finalists on the day of the event.
9.2 The defense and presentation of the Participants’ projects will occur in an online conference.
9.3 The competition organizer determines the date and time of the online conference. The organizer then e-mails the participants with all necessary information on protecting their applications.
9.4 The Participants’ applications are evaluated using the criteria defined in the nominations for each IAELE Competition.
Article 10. Secret Ballot of the Jury
10.1. The Competition Commission (Jury) shall have the exclusive right to determine the Prize Winners in the nominations. Each Competition Commission (Jury) member has the right to vote once and for a single Nominee in each nomination. The secret ballot of the Competition Commission (Jury) shall be held in person or (in case of inability to be present in person) in absentia – by e-mail.
10.2. Voting shall be recognized as valid if at least 2/3 of the members of the Competition Commission (jury) published on the website on the voting day took part in it (in person or absentia).
Article 11: Awarding of the Prize Laureates
The awards and recognition received within the framework of the IAELE International Awards serve as an essential incentive for further professional growth and implementation of innovative solutions in the global educational system.
11.1. The announcement of the Prize Laureates and their awarding shall take place at the Ceremony.
11.2. The winners of the jury vote are awarded the title “IAELE International Award Winner” in the corresponding nomination.
11.3 Winners will be notified of the competition results by email or other convenient method specified at the time of entry and will be provided with detailed information on how to claim their awards.
11.3. Awards for the winners of the International Prize include, but are not limited to:
11.3.1. Name certificates confirming their achievements and successes in the competition.
11.3.2 Statuettes or commemorative prizes.
11.3.3 Publication of the results on the official Internet platforms of the International Association (IAELE) and its partners, which helps to increase their visibility and attract the attention of the business community and potential investors
11.3.4. The decision of the Prize Organizer and the Prize Partners may award other honorary and valuable prizes.
11.3.5. Additional prizes and gifts from the sponsors of the IAELE International Awards.
11.3.6. The Competition Organizer agrees on possible prizes with each sponsor.
Article 12. Partners of the Competition
12.1. The status of the Competition Partner is assigned based on the concluded agreement with the Competition Organizer.
12.2. The Competition Partners are provided with several presentation opportunities, including placement by the Competition Organizer of information about the Competition Partner in the advertising campaign of the Competition, in the mass media, as well as communication by the Competition Organizer of information about the Competition Partner during the Gala Ceremony.
Article 13. Timing of the Competition
13.1. The Competition’s deadlines shall be determined and approved by the Competition Organizer, after which the Organizer shall post the information on the deadlines on the Official Website of the Competition.
Article 14. Formation of the Competitive Jury Commission
14.1. The Competition Jury Commission is formed by the Competition Organizer from the members of the International Expert Council of the International Association (IAELE) and, if necessary, may involve external outstanding and recognized International experts according to the profile of the competition nomination.
14.2. Involved International Experts shall be selected according to his/her outstanding achievements and recommendations of 2-3 International Professionals with experience in the relevant industry or field.
14.3. The Competition Commission (Jury) consists of at least five members appointed by the Competition Organizer. When forming the Competition Commission (Jury), the need to represent different fields of activity and expertise shall be considered.
14.4. Members of the Competition Commission (Jury) receive personal invitations from the competition organizer indicating their roles and responsibilities. The invitations also contain information about the competition tasks and the criteria for evaluating the participants.
14.5. The composition of the Competition Commission (Jury) is open, and the information about the participants of the Competition Commission (Jury) is published on the official website of the International Association (IAELE).
Publicizing the commission’s composition helps establish trust and transparency in the participants’ evaluation process.
14.6. The Competition organizer provides the necessary conditions for the Competition Commission (jury) ‘s work, including access to the competition documentation, organization of discussions, and technical support for evaluating and selecting winners.
Article 15. Rights to the Results of Exclusive Activity and Images
15.1. By participating in the Contest, the participant of the Contest agrees to the Organizer to interview them orally and in writing about participation in the Contest for publication of information about the Contest in any sources (on the website of the International Association (IAELE) https://eduassociation.org/, in mass media and other sources), as well as in case of being among the winners of the Contest to make public and use the image of the participant of the Contest by publishing information about the Contest, including on the website of the Contest without payment of remuneration.
15.2. The Participant of the Competition consents to the Organizers for the right to use the information provided in the application form at their discretion to organize the Competition.
15.3. By submitting an application and participating in the Competition, the Participant confirms the existence of its rights to the results of intellectual activity and other objects in the application and project. The Organizer may request evidence of the Participant’s possession of these rights if necessary.
Chapter III
FINAL PROVISIONS
Article 16. Requirements and Obligations for Participants in the International Prizes
16.1 Intellectual property – to coordinate the use of their materials with the organizers, guaranteeing the existence of intellectual property rights.
16.2 Professional ethics – comply with the norms of professional ethics to avoid plagiarism and unfair competition.
16.3 Credibility of information – provide accurate and reliable data about their projects and qualifications.
16.4 Compliance with regulations – follow the established rules of the event, including application deadlines and material preparation requirements.
16.5 Respect for copyright – submit only original material or material with permission to use.
16.6 Observe the terms of confidentiality if the information is considered as such.
16.7 Active participation – actively participate in events, interact with other participants’ organizers, and make constructive suggestions.
16.8 Safety Compliance – Comply with safety requirements when participating in activities.
